Barastoc Phar Lap is the ideal feed to use as the basis of your performance horse feeding regime. Highly versatile, it’s appropriate for spelling, pre-training, racing and for other performance horses.
As an oats-free concentrate, Barastoc Phar Lap gives you the flexibility to add the type and amount of grain that suits your horse’s work load and body type.
Phar Lap is formulated to provide all the protein, vitamin and mineral requirements that intensely worked horses need. It is fully fortified with high levels of vitamin E, selenium and chromium, contains omega-3 fatty acids and also has added vegetable oil for increased energy per kilogram.
With added salts to replace sweat losses and a live yeast culture to enhance fibre digestion, Barastoc Phar Lap gives performance horses all the dietary requirements they need to perform at their best.

The recommendations provided are intended as a guide only. The amount fed will vary according to the horses condition and the quality of pasture and/or roughage available. Barastoc Phar Lap should be used to supplement grazing and/or high quality roughage to not more than one half of the horses daily feed intake by weight. Introduce this product gradually over a 2 week period. Intakes less than the levels listed may require additional vitamin and mineral supplementation. Do not feed more than 2.5 kgs of this product per meal.
