High energy muesli feed for working horses

Hard working horses have special nutritional requirements. To keep them fit and healthy you need a feed that will satisfy their complex diet needs, but in a palatable, easy-to- use feed.

Barastoc Workhorse is a muesli-style feed containing oats and corn that provides the high concentration of  energy a working horse needs – in a form that is safe and easily digested.

The carefully blended package of processed ingredients provides protein at 11%, a level that suits a mature horse while avoiding the mental tenseness that often accompanies higher protein rations.

Barastoc Workhorse is formulated with increased mineral levels to compensate for sweat losses. It comes in a pelletised form to eliminate fines and also contains molasses for improved palatability.

Feeding Directions:

The recommendations provided are intended as a guide only. The amount fed will vary according to the horses condition and the quality of pasture and/or roughage available. Barastoc Workhorse should be used to supplement grazing and/or high quality roughage to not more than one half of the horses daily feed intake by weight. Introduce this product gradually over a 2 week period. Intakes less that the levels listed may require additional vitamin and mineral supplementation. Do not feed more than 3 kgs of this product per meal.
