What are your competition/training goals for the next 12 months?

In the next 12 months I have several very exciting, new, young prospects. Hoping that they will grace the showring. Some are straight from the track and others are being broken in through the winter. I am hoping they will be able to continue with the success the established team have achieved in the past 12 months. I am hoping you will see me on one of these newcomers in the Garyowen next year.

When did you start riding?

I started riding at the age of 4. My mum put me on her Anglo Arab when I was 21/2 and at 51/2 I competed for the 1st time.

What keeps you succeeding or keeps you wanting to succeed?

Success comes in many forms. I love to win but to win on a horse I have started right from the start gives me a great feeling of satisfaction. I am very dedicated to my horses and sport, and spend many hours sorting out problems or trying to find the reasons behind problems.

Describe your "best" moment:

I have been fortunate to have many "best" moments. Each of my Garryowen wins and my national win with Kallaroo Elite who I started from the breeders, and my National Senior Rider win were very satisfying and set me on cloud 9.

When has been your "worst" moment?

Six years ago when I was kicked in the face and broke my jaw in four places. I now have two plates in my jaw and no manoble joints on either side of my face.

Do you have a favourite horse?

Yes, too many. I love them all but probably INTOWN TONIGHT - he is so cheeky.

Which of the Ridley horse feeds do you use and why?

I use Completo as my base feed. Why try to improve on a perfect mix when you have found one as good as this one. I also use Calm Performer and Cool Command on the horses with either stomach problems or need a quieter feed. I have used Ridley products for 20 years and have always been totally happy with them, and have always been totally happy with their service. It is a great company and they need to be praised for their great commitment over the years and into the future.
