Baby Pigs 

Good nutrition during the first few weeks of life is crucial to subsequent performance throughout the weanng, growth and finishing stages. The Barastoc UltraWean range of starter feeds feature:

• High nutrient density for maximum performance
• Cooked grain ration for improved digestibility
• Pelleted formulation for reduced separation*
• Good palatability for improved feed intake and reduced weaning setback
• Enzymes for improved lightweight gain and feed conversion, and reduced digestive disorders and variation
• Acidifier for improved protein digestion and reduced proliferation of bacteria in the gut.
  

All UltraWean rations that are packaged in 40 kg or 20 kg bags contain Tylan® (tylosin phosphate) for improved feed conversion efficiency and growth, and the control of ileitis and enteric diseases susceptible to tylosin. The inclusion of Tylan or other medications in bulk products is optional and subject to availability.

*Some UltraWean products are available in crumbled or processed mash form, depending on your location.

Growing and Finishing

The Barastoc Multiphase range allows producers to tailor their feeding program to maximise pig performance and profitability throughout the growing-finishing phase. Developed using local and international research, each ration contains a balanced source of energy, amino acids, vitamin and minerals and is formulated to high technical standards using quality ingredients.

Breeding Pigs (Sows and Boars)

Maintaining a productive breeder herd is the basis of profitable pig production.

Once tgilt is brought into the herd, the correct gestation and lactation feeding management will then ensure she stays in the herd for a long time and meets appropriate targets for litter size, litter weight and litters per sow per year. Likewise, good nutrition in boars is essential to maintain health, longevity and vitality.

Barastoc Ultra pig rations contain appropriate levels of:

• Calcium and phosphorus for skeletal development in gilts and milk production during lactation
• Trace minerals, organic chromium and organic selenium for optimum health and fertility and reduced stress
• Vitamins for the increased demands occurring during mating, gestation and lactation
• Vitamin E for reproductive performance and Biotin for sound feet
• Fibre to maintain good dung consistency and minimise constipation problems

Concentrates

Barastoc concentrates can be blended with grains to make complete feeds for all classes of pigs. They are ideal for those producers who have access to home-grown or purchased grains and suitable feed mixing equipment. The ability to add one pre-mixed, quality-assured concentrate greatly simplifies purchasing and on-farm mixing. Each concentrate contains a balanced blend of energy, protein, minerals and vitamins and is formulated to the same exacting standards and using same high quality ingredients as complete feeds. Barastoc concentrates are generally included at 12–25% of the complete mix.
