Industry Experience

Michael started with Ridley AgriProducts in 1998 servicing the northern and central regions of Queensland. Since that time, Michael held a number of technical sales support and managerial roles within Ridley AgriProducts including the National Technical Support Manager for supplements, before becoming the national beef and sheep species specialist in July 2004.
 
Prior to working for Ridley AgriProducts, Michael worked for various employers including the University of Queensland and the Australian Quarantine inspection service. Associated with his time at the University of Queensland, Michael worked for CSIRO Tropical beef breeding unit (Belmont research station) in Central Queensland. Michael was reared in the beef industry and has worked in various capacities on properties and feedlots since leaving school in 1990.
 
Qualification

Bachelor of Applied Science, Rural Technology. - University of Queensland Gatton Campus.

Ruminant Technical Manager

Industry Experience  

Following an honours degree in animal science and postgraduate research in nutrition (protein digestion in ruminants), Tim worked in the UK as a consultant nutritionist (12 years) specialising in dairy, beef and sheep nutrition. He then worked for Associated British Nutrition (ABN) as Ruminant Technical and Marketing Manager for 6 years. He moved to Australia in 2002 to work for Ridley AgriProducts as Dairy Technical Manager and since 2004 has been the Ruminant Technical Manager. Tim is also a Director of GippsDairy.
